Most of the stuff here is based around a game I'm making, at this point it is basically ideas and test subjects in the form of sprites. Basically in the future it will be made using the Platformer Game Engine, a new in-dev Editor & Engine. Basically, my game will be the test dummy for the engine itself. Anyway, the sprites themselves are NES styled, as it is probably one of my favourite styles to work with, though it is by no means the easiest. You may notice they reflect some similarities to characters in the Mario, Kirby, Cocoron and Lolo series, this is intended, as it is basically my tribute to the games of my earlier childhood.
Here's some of the newly developed sprites, both in 8-bit and 16-bit format:
All sprites originally were made in a 16-Bit format, using the palettes from SMB3, however, I decided upon using the NES style not so long ago. Maybe I'll incorporate both styles somehow into the game itself eventually, but for now it will remain as is.
